Little Haiti Housing Association, Inc. (LHHA) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit community development corporation comprehensively serving the development needs of the low-income residents of Little Haiti. Since its incorporation in 1987, LHHA has been committed to its mission of providing decent, affordable housing as a base for an improved quality of life for the residents of Little Haiti and neighboring communities. We believe that housing efforts must be part of a holistic strategy for effecting sustainable community development. LHHA is a community development corporation comprehensively serving the affordable housing and community development needs of the Haitian-American community in northeast Miami-Dade County.

To serve the community, LHHA provides service in four (4) major areas:

  • Housing development, both for-sale and rental;
  • Home ownership, education/financial literacy services, including individual budget savings and credit counseling, home ownership preparation classes (taught in Haitian Creole), individual support for below-market rate mortgage applications, home owner follow-up, and support;
  • Tenant/homeowner services and education (in Haitian-Creole), and client referrals to needed social services; and
  • Economic development initiatives.
