In February 2010, Little Haiti Housing Association, Inc. (LHHA), as a member of a consortium of local non-profit developers known as the Miami-Dade NSP2 consortium, was awarded $6,300,000 in financing by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through its second round of the Neighborhood Housing and Stabilization Program (NSP2). [The Consortium has been awarded funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (“Recovery Act”), Public Law 111-005, for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2 (“NSP2”)]. NSP2 funds will be used over the next 2 and half years for the acquisition, rehabilitation and resale of REO properties, both single family and multifamily.
